Mr. Jones is a principal of Orion Financial Corp. Prior to joining Orion Financial Corp. in 1993, Mr. Jones was the Director of Finance in the South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED). The Division of Finance was often the lead lender with responsibility for structuring financing to insure full participation and cooperation from a variety of private and governmental financial sources.

During his tenure at GOED, the loan portfolio under his supervision grew from 11 companies and $3 million to over 180 companies and $55 million. The companies in the portfolio employed approximately 25% of South Dakota’s manufacturing - based employees. Assets of all loan programs formerly under his direction exceeded $80 million. Mr. Jones is a graduate of The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Business Administration concentrating in Finance.
